Organizational Development

Introduction to Organizational Development

Organizational development is a process to create positive change and improvement through a carefully planned strategy to benefit an organization

Organizational Development for the Synagogue School

The mission of the Auerbach Central Agency for Jewish Education (Auerbach CAJE) is to promote and support Jewish education. Therefore, we are available to support your synagogue school change initiative through consulting, training, coaching, the Designated School Program (DSP) and the Nurturing Excellence in Synagogue Schools (NESS) Program for Organizational Development. We facilitate a process to develop a clear vision statement, a mission statement, identifiable goals, implementation strategies, and an action plan.

Our work engages lay leaders, volunteers, professional staff and clergy in helping create and improve policy, organizational structures, and ways of working together more effectively in order to build schools where children and families are inspired.

Part of organizational development is training. We can provide training on topics such as:

•  Strategic Planning for the School Committee

•  Development of Roles and Functions of the School Committee

•  Agenda Setting & How to Run a Meeting

•  Lay Leadership Development

The Auerbach Central Agency for Jewish Education can also develop customized training for your specific needs. There is a fee for our services and workshops.
